  About The School

"Saint Mary School provides a safe and loving Catholic learning environment, where faith and knowledge meet."  We take this Mission Statement seriously at Saint Mary School, and we strive to succeed in its message daily.  Parents are the first and foremost educators of their children, and Saint Mary School was established to assist and support parents in exercising that responsibility and privilege. Saint Mary School is here to serve the people of this community. We believe that all students can master basic skills, develop critical thinking skills, learn problem-solving techniques and choose a lifestyle based on Christian values and democratic principles.

Saint Mary School serves numerous towns in Van Buren County including Paw Paw, Mattawan, Lawton, Decatur, Lawrence, and Gobles. The current enrollment is 86 students in PK-5

Saint Mary School is accredited through the Michigan Non-public School Accrediting Association.  A full report is located in the School office and at the Diocese of Kalamazoo, Office of Schools.  All teachers and administrators are highly qualified and certified.
